Journal entries.
The concept of a photograph has always seemed very straight forward, but when introduced to chemigrams my idea of what qualifies as an image suddenly changed. A photograph can be anything that captures a specific moment in time. For this project those moments were originally documented in my high school journal. Unknowingly I was capturing moments of time, dark moments of who I am. Using red paint as a hard resist, and lighting the edges of photographic paper on fire using a torch I was able to use the chemigram process as a resource for my therapeutic journey with art and photography.
